Profile Peekers Facebook scam.

A new scam that is spread through Facebook states that it can show you who views your profile, by doing this you could find out who is stalking you. If you click on the post eventually you will be redirected to profilespyxs(dot)info. website.

This website has a JavaScript code, users are asked to copy that code and then paste it to their Internet browser address bar. If you do so you will spread this scam to your friends. This scam is created to trick users into completing Internet surveys. This is the way in which cyber criminals are receiving money for spreading the scam.

How to get rid of Profile Peekers application:

1. Login to Facebook.
2. On your personal page click Account Button (on the left side of the page).
3. Select Privacy Settings from the drop down menu.
4. Locate Application and Websites section, click Edit Settings.
5. When redirected to Apps page, search for Profile Peekers.
6. Click Edit Settings button, Click "X" button next to Profile Peekers app.
7. Confirm the removal by clicking "Remove" button.


Facebook does NOT allow anybody to track anyone's profiles! Don't fall for such scams.
