How to remove Disk Optimizer?

This program performs fake computer scans and then asks to purchase it's full version. It blocks legitimate programs. Fake security warnings are displayed to scare into buying this program's licence. This software is totally useless. Don't buy it, it's a scam. If you have already purchased this software contact your credit card company and explain that you have been tricked into purchasing a fake computer program. This infection comes from the same family as HDD Defragmenter, Disk OK...  This fake program is mostly spread through Trojans and other malicious programs.

When installed, Disk Optimizer will perform fake scans of hard disks, Windows registry and computer memory. Such warnings may appear on your screen while your computer is infected with this rogue program:

"Critical Error A critical error has occurred while indexing data stored on hard drive. System restart required"

"Windows – No Disk Exception Processing Message 0×0000013"

"System Restore The system has been restored after a critical error. Data integrity and hard drive integrity verification required"

All of these warnings are fake. This software is designed to scare people into purchasing it's full version. You should realize that Disk Optimizer is a rogue program which only imitates a process of scanning your computer, all the errors that this program detects servers the purpose of scaring you into believing that your computer's hardware has malfunctioned and that this situation could lead to a potential data loss. This program is different from a standard scareware which tries to trick computer users into thinking that their computers are infected with security threats, Disk Optimizer uses the strategy to scare people into thinking that they could loose their stored information. Such programs as Disk Optimizer are developed by Internet criminals who are receiving money from people who are being tricked into buying totally useless and fake programs like this one. You should understand that there's nothing wrong with the hardware of your PC, this bogus program is just imitating all the errors to force you into buying it's useless licence key to fix the non-existent issues. Don't panic and use the provided removal information to get rid of this program.

1. Start your computer in safe mode. Click Start, click Shut down, click Restart, click OK. During your computer starting process press F8 key on your keyboard multiple times until you see Windows Advanced Option menu, then select Safe mode with networking from the list.

2. Open Internet explorer, click Tools and select Internet Options. Select Connections, then click LAN settings, if a Use a proxy server for your LAN is checked, uncheck it and press OK.

3 .Download HijackThis and save it on your desktop. Some malicious programs are able to block HijackThis so when you click the download link, in the Save dialog rename HijackThis.exe to iexplorer.exe and only then click the Save button. After saving the file on your desktop, double click it. In the main HijackThis window click “Do a system scan only” button. Select these entries (place a tick at the left of the entry):

O4 – HKCU\..\Run: [AcDAlertDp.exe] C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\AcDAlertDp.exe
O4 – HKCU\..\Run: [334594] C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\334594.exe

After selecting required entries, click "Fix Checked". After this procedure you can close HijackThis and proceed to the next removal step.

5. After this procedure you should be able to access your desktop. Now you should download a legitimate anti-spyware software to fully remove Disk Optimizer from your computer.

6. After downloading anti-spyware software. Install, don't forget to update, and run a full system scan. Remove all infections that it finds.

You can try using a retrieved Disk Optimizer's registration code. Try entering this code 0973467457475070215340537432225. If it works, Disk Optimizer will be disabled and you will be able to install a legitimate antispyware program to completely remove it from your computer.

Additional information:

Some malicious software modifies browser settings and disables downloads of spyware and virus removing software. If you have problems downloading anti-spyware software with Internet Explorer, try downloading with Chrome, FireFox, Opera, etc.

If you can't access Internet:

Start Task manager. Press ctrl+alt+del (or ctrl+shift+esc) and end task the processes of rogue program. ( if after this procedure you can't access any programs press ctrl+alt+del, click File, select New Task, and type explorer.exe then press OK.

Open Internet explorer, click Tools and select Internet Options. Select Connections, then click LAN settings, if a Use a proxy server for your LAN is checked, uncheck it and press OK.

After this procedure you should be able to access Internet. Now you can download anti-spyware software from our "Top spyware removers" section and run a full scan. Download, install and don't forget to update your selected anti-spyware program. Then run a full system scan.

If you are unable to remove Disk Optimizer, you can use this manual removal instruction. Use it at your own risk. If you don't have strong computer knowledge you could harm your operating system. End these Disk Optimizer processes:

Additional information on removing Disk Optimizer:

*If you can't download anti-spyware software: Click on the download link, when the save dialog opens change the file name (example: when downloading mbam-setup.exe rename it to iexplore.exe).
*If you have installed anti-spyware program but you can't run it: Click Run, type %ProgramFiles% and press Enter. Open folder of your anti-spyware program, search for executable file and rename it. (example: Open Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware folder, right-click on the main executable file (mbam.exe) then click rename. Rename the mbam.exe file to iexplore.exe, winlogon.exe firefox.exe ...
*If you can't access your anti-spyware software, try creating a new user account:
Click Start -> Settings -> Control panel.
Click User Accounts and create a new account.
Reboot your computer and log in using a newly created user account.
*After this procedure you should be able to access your anti-spyware programs. Update and run a full system scan.
