Coupon Companion - how to remove?
Coupon Companion is a browser extension developed by 215 Apps. Creators of this browser plug-in states that it helps save money and time while shopping online - this browser add-on displays coupon deals when computer users visit online shopping websites. Notice that this plug-in is not malicious, it's not a virus or spyware however most commonly computer users installs this plug-in without their consent. Such situation could happen if computer users doesn't pay close attention when installing free software downloaded from the Internet. Coupon companion can come bundled with various freeware, to avoid installation of this unwanted browser add-on computer users should inspect every installation step of free software and disallow installation of additional browser extensions (also opt-out any options which wants to change Internet browser settings). Coupon companion is similar to my super cheap, save by click and many other unwanted coupon ads related browser extensions. Notice that there are several different scenarios how coupon companion can be installed on ones computer: the legitimate way (when user downloads this extension from it's homepage and is aware of it's installation), deceptive (when this extension comes bundled with free software and user installs it unwillingly).

Most commonly such unwanted browser extensions comes bundled with YouTube video downloader clients, torrent clients and other free software. Coupon Companion removal:

Windows 7 users:
Click "Start" ("Windows Logo" in the bottom left corner of your desktop), choose "Control Panel". Locate "Programs and Features". Look for 215 Apps. related entries (Coupon Companion staging) select this entry and click Uninstall.
Windows XP users:
Click "Start", choose "Settings" and click "Control Panel". Locate and click "Add or Remove Programs". Locate "Programs and Features". Look for 215 Apps. related entries - Coupon Companion staging, select this entry and click Remove.
After uninstalling Coupon Companion scan your computer for any left unwanted components or possible malware infections. Recommended anti-spyware software.

Coupon Companion removal from browsers:
Remove Coupon Companion from Internet Explorer:
Click "Tools" (or gear icon in Internet Explorer 9), select "Manage Add-ons". Look for Coupon Companion and disable this extension.
Optional method:
If you continue having problems with the removal of Coupon Companion extension you can reset you Internet Explorer settings to default.
Windows XP users: Click "Start", click "Run", in the opened window type "inetcpl.cpl". In the opened window click on "Advanced" tab, then click Reset.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 users: Click the Windows logo, in the start search box type "inetcpl.cpl" and click enter. In the opened window click on "Advanced" tab, then click Reset.
Remove Coupon Companion from Google Chrome:

Click on a wrench or bars icon (top right of the screen), select "Tools" and click on "Extensions". Locate this entry: "Coupon Companion staging" select it and click on a trash can icon.
Remove Coupon Companion from FireFox:

Click "Tools" (at the top of the window), select "Add-ons". Click on "Extensions" and disable this add-on: "Coupon Companion staging".
Optional method:
If you continue having problems with removal of Coupon Companion extension you can reset you Mozilla FireFox settings to default.
Open Mozilla FireFox, at the top left corner of the main window click "FireFox", in the opened drop down menu choose Help and then click on Troubleshooting Information, in the opened window click on "Reset FireFox" button.
