Option 2. Reset Microsoft Edge through Windows Powershell
1. Open the Start Menu and, in the search box, type in File Explorer and click the result.
2. In the menu bar, select View and tick the Hidden items checkbox.
3. Then navigate to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe
4. Select all of the files in the folder, right-click them and click Delete.
5. Close the File Explorer window.
6. Then, hold down Windows+R keys to open Run.
7. Type in powershell and hold down Ctrl+Shift+Enter keys to open elevated Windows Powershell.
8. In the Windows Powershell window, enter Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose} and press the Enter key to execute the command.
9. Close Windows Powershell.

By following these steps, you will reset your browsing history, uninstall extensions, change your homepage and remove website data. Notice that, prior to version 8, the Safari browser had a “Reset” menu item that could be reached by clicking “Safari” and choosing “Reset.” Users that have Safari 8 and later can reset their browser by following the instructions below.
1. Open Apple Safari.
2. Open the Safari menu and click Clear History.

Option 2. Reset Apple Safari by deleting com.apple.Safari.plist
1. First, make sure Safari isn’t running. Right-click the Safari icon and click Quit.
2. Then, Hold down Shift+Command+G keys to open the Go to Folder window.
3. In the Go to folder dialog, type in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Safari/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist and click OK.
4. Right-click com.apple.Safari.plist, and click Move to Trash.
5. Close the window, right-click Trash in the Doc, and click Empty Trash.
6. Restart your Mac to complete the reset.
