Suddenlink.com Redirect

What is Suddenlink.com?
The Suddenlink.com website is owned by a company providing high speed Internet, digital TV, and other services. The website alone is legitimate and not related to viruses or malware, however, computer users have recently started to complain that their Internet browsers are redirecting them to home.suddenlink.com without their consent.
Having conducted further investigation, our technicians concluded that these redirects can be caused by installation of the Suddenlink toolbar or may be related to browser hijackers. The Suddenlink toolbar self-installs on Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox and sets the default home page to home.suddenlink.com This website presents users with news, online games, etc.
The search bar is enhanced by Google with legitimate organic search results, however, since it is a customized Google search engine, the sponsored results can be unrelated to the original search query. The purpose of this toolbar is monetization of incoming Internet traffic.
For each user that clicks on sponsored results within home.suddenlink.com, the company receives revenue that is shared with Google. The Suddenlink toolbar can be downloaded from its homepage or is bundled with free software downloaded from the Internet.
If you feel that you have installed Suddenlink toolbar inadvertently and you have not willingly changed your Internet browser homepage to home.suddenlink.com, this indicates that your computer might be infected with a browser hijacker or other security infection.
Check your Internet browsers to ascertain if the Suddenlink toolbar is installed. If you have not installed it willingly, it might have been installed with free software. To prevent browser redirects to home.suddenlink.com, follow the removal guide provided.
