Whilokii removal instructions
Whilokii is a potentially unwanted application which installs on user's Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) together with free software downloaded from the Internet. It promises to enhance user's Internet browsing experience by showing coupon ads, allowing multiple sites search and providing website ratings. Notice that while such added functionality may seem legitimate, many Internet users refer to Whilokii as a virus or malware - such negative associations originate from the fact that most commonly this browser plugin installs without user's consent. Technically it's not a virus, it can be categorized as being adware or a potentially unwanted application. Most commonly it installs together with some free software downloaded from the Internet (through download clients or installers).
Computer users should be aware that nowadays the majority of free software download websites are using download clients which offer installation of additional browser add-ons together with the chosen freeware. Notice that some of the mentioned download clients are deceptive and the "decline" button which can be used to opt-out installation of additional browser add-ons is hidden, in other cases users can't continue the download process if they don't agree to install the promoted browser extension. Whilokii is just one of many browser add-ons (it originates from a family called Super Web) which are being promoted using a deceptive software marketing method called bundling - it slows down Internet browser and causes intrusive ads, it's recommended to eliminate it from one's computer.
Whilokii is similar to Lucky Leap, Lemur Leap, and many other adware developed by Super Web LLC. These browser add-ons doesn't add any significant value to Internet users, they install without user's consent and display intrusive ads. The best way to avoid installing Whilokii or any other adware is to closely inspect every downloading and installation step of free software. If your download is managed by some download client be sure to opt-out installation of any additional browser plugins (by clicking "decline"), when installing freeware use "advanced" or "custom" installation options - this will reveal any bundles adware. If you already see "Powered by Whilokii", "Whilokii deals" or "Ads by Whilokii" advertisements when browsing the Internet use the provided removal guide and eliminate this adware from your computer.
