BetterMarkit ads removal instructions
BetterMarkit is a browser plugin created by Revizer Technologies Ltd., it promises to make user's Internet browsing more productive by integrating quick sharing and search functions of the highlighted text. While such added functionality may seem legitimate Internet users should know that BetterMarkIt is being categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application. Developers of this add-on are using a deceptive software marketing method called bundling, and thus computer users install this plugin without their consent when downloading free software. After installation BetterMarkit tracks user's Internet surfing by recording demographic information, browsers type, operating system type, and IP address.
Moreover, this potentially unwanted application generated intrusive ads; for example, banners, pop–ups, pop-unders, coupons, price comparison, in-line text, and display advertisements. At the time of research this browser extension didn't perform any malicious tasks; however, Internet users should know that it's presence can lead to privacy issues and clicking on the third party ads generated by it could lead to malware and virus infections. It's recommended to remove BetterMarkit from one's Internet browsers.
BetterMarkit is similar to other adware which infiltrate user's Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) through free software downloads and cause intrusive ads, for example Linkey, Tube Dimmer and Shopper Pro. To avoid installation of such potentially unwanted applications, computer users should be very careful when downloading free software. Nowadays most of free software download websites are using download clients - programs that offer installation of advertised browser extensions together with the chosen free software. When downloading free programs always inspect every downloading step and opt-out installation of advertised browser plug-ins by clicking on a "decline" button. Computer users who already see ads generated by BetterMarkit should use this removal guide to eliminate adware from their Internet browsers.
