What is moviestreamhd[.]org?
The moviestreamhd[.]org website allows users to stream online movies free of charge and without having to register. Note that this site streams movies illegally, since developers use rogue ad networks. Therefore, people who use this website risk being redirected to dubious websites that might be designed to promote adware-type apps and other unwanted apps.
When links displayed on moviestreamhd[.]org are clicked, or the search bar is used, this web page causes redirects to other untrustworthy websites - it opens deceptive web pages that trick people into believing that their computers are infected with viruses.
These web pages are used to promote unwanted apps and trick people into installing them, however, sites such as moviestreamhd[.]org often lead to other dubious web pages that, for example, promote adware-type apps, browser hijackers, and other potentially unwanted apps (PUAs).
If installed, adware-type apps feed users with unwanted, intrusive ads that can cause unwanted downloads/installations. If clicked, many ads run scripts designed to download and install PUAs or they cause redirects to potentially malicious web pages. Some examples of ads displayed by apps of this type are coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups, and so on.
Browser hijackers usually modify users' browser settings and gather browsing-related data such as IP addresses, URLs of visited websites, entered search queries, geolocations, and other details that developers share with other parties (potentially, cyber criminals).
Generally, these third parties misuse data to generate revenue. Additionally, moviestreamhd[.]org and other, similar sites often redirect to dubious pages that ask visitors for permission to show notifications. Allowing this usually causes the regular appearance of various unwanted ads, push notifications, and so on.
Clicking them can lead to unwanted redirects or download/installation of PUAs. Therefore, it is not safe to use these websites.

Many websites use dubious ad networks including, for example, Kissmanga, savefrom[.]net, and ouo[.]io. To avoid unwanted downloads/installations, redirects to dubious/deceptive websites, potential problems with browsing safety/privacy and other issues, do not use the services provided by web pages that use rogue ad networks.
Additionally, if there are any unwanted apps already installed on your system, they should be removed immediately.
How did adware install on my computer?
In most cases, PUAs are downloaded and installed through intrusive advertisements that people accidentally or willingly click, or when software developers use a deceptive marketing method called "bundling". This is used to trick people into downloading and installing potentially unwanted applications with other, regular software.
Generally, the software is free. Information about the inclusion of PUAs in "Custom", "Advanced" or other similar options of software download/installation set-ups is hidden. Leaving these settings unchanged causes unwanted downloads/installations.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Be cautious when browsing the Internet and downloading (or installing) software. Do not download software from unofficial/untrustworthy websites, using third party downloaders, torrent clients, eMule (other Peer-to-Peer networks) and so on. It should be downloaded from official sites and using direct download links.
Additionally, check all included "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar options of any download/installation setup. If there are any offers to download or install PUAs, they should be dismissed. Do not click intrusive ads that are displayed on untrustworthy websites.
They open other pages of this kind relating to adult dating, gambling, pornography, and so on. If unwanted redirects or advertisements occur regularly, check for unwanted/suspicious add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions installed on the browser and remove them.
Also check for unwanted programs installed on the operating system and remove them. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
