Removing the notifications/ads delivered by the newsnourish.com site
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on
What kind of page is newsnourish[.]com?
Newsnourish[.]com is a rogue webpage that we discovered while investigating suspicious sites. It is designed to promote spam browser notifications and redirect users to other (likely dubious/malicious) websites.
Most visitors to newsnourish[.]com and pages akin to it – access them via redirects generated by sites that employ rogue advertising networks.
It is pertinent to mention that the content endorsed on and through rogue webpages may vary depending on the visitor's IP address (geolocation).
At the time of our investigation, the newsnourish[.]com site displayed a fake CAPTCHA verification test. To expand upon this, the page depicted an image of robots, above which was text instructing the visitor to – "Click 'Allow' if you are not a robot". By following these instructions, the user will inadvertently permit newsnourish[.]com to deliver browser notifications (ads).
After we clicked the "Allow" button, it resulted in a redirect to the globalvantnow[.]com webpage, which likewise imitates CAPTCHA to push its notifications.
Rogue websites use these advertisements to promote various scams, untrustworthy/hazardous software, and even malware.
In summary, through pages like newsnourish[.]com – users can experience system infections, serious privacy issues, financial losses, and identity theft.

Browser notification spam in general
Reqdfit[.]com, obiumblers[.]com, pioxu[.]live, knuckledzone[.]com, and captchagenius[.]top are merely some examples of rogue websites that we have inspected recently. These pages display browser notifications that predominantly promote deceptive and malicious content.
Note that while legitimate products/services may be encountered via these advertisements – they are unlikely to be endorsed in this manner by their developers or other official parties. It is most probable that this promotion is performed by scammers who abuse the content's affiliate programs in order to obtain illegitimate commissions.
How did newsnourish[.]com gain permission to deliver spam notifications?
Websites can only deliver browser notifications with user consent. Therefore, you've likely visited the newsnourish[.]com page at some point and selected "Allow", "Allow Notifications", or a similar option – thus enabling the notification/advertisement delivery.
How to prevent deceptive sites from delivering spam notifications?
If you access a suspicious page – do not enable it to deliver browser notifications. In other words, do not click "Allow", "Allow Notifications", or any analogous options displayed on such webpages. We advise denying notification delivery requests – clicking "Block", "Block Notifications", etc., or ignoring them altogether.
Should you keep experiencing continuous unprompted redirects to questionable websites, it could be due to adware installed on the browser or system. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
