What kind of page is appriating[.]com?
Appriating[.]com is a rogue webpage discovered by our researchers during a routine investigative session. Upon examination, we learned that this page endorses browser notification spam and redirects visitors to different (likely dubious/dangerous) sites. Most users enter appriating[.]com and analogous pages via redirects generated by websites utilizing rogue advertising networks.
Appriating[.]com overview
It is noteworthy that the content encountered on and through rogue sites may differ depending on visitors' IP addresses (geolocations). At the time of research, appriating[.]com displayed a rather basic CAPTCHA verification. The other otherwise blank page instructed the visitor to – "Click 'Allow' to confirm that you are not a robot".
This CAPTCHA test is fake, and by completing it – users inadvertently permit appriating[.]com to deliver browser notifications. Advertisements of this kind can promote online scams (phishing, technical support, affiliate scams, etc.), untrustworthy/harmful software (adware, PUAs, browser hijackers, etc.), and malware (trojans, ransomware, etc.).
In summary, through webpages like appriating[.]com – users may experience system infections, severe privacy issues, financial losses, and even identity theft.

Browser notification spam in general
We have analyzed countless rogue pages; quicknetshift.co[.]in, pphouse3[.]fun, and dualchooner[.]com are just a couple of our latest articles. The purpose of these websites is to promote browser notification spam.
These ads push deceptive and malicious content. Remember that while legitimate products or services may be encountered via spam notifications – they are unlikely to be endorsed in this manner by any official parties. It is most probable that this endorsement is undertaken by scammers who abuse the promoted content's affiliate programs to obtain illegitimate commissions.
How did appriating[.]com gain permission to deliver spam notifications?
Websites cannot deliver browser notifications without user permission. Therefore, if you are receiving these adverts from appriating[.]com – it is evident that when this page was accessed, consent to their delivery was given by selecting "Allow", "Allow Notifications", or a similar option.
How to prevent deceptive sites from delivering spam notifications?
To avoid receiving undesirable browser notifications – do not enable questionable webpages to deliver them (i.e., do not press "Allow", "Allow Notifications", etc.). We advise denying notification delivery from such pages (i.e., selecting "Block", "Block Notifications", etc.) or ignoring these requests altogether.
It must be mentioned that having adware installed on the browser/system can result in suspicious sites being forced-open at random. Should you keep experiencing redirects of this kind, check the device and immediately remove all suspect applications and browser extensions/plug-ins.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
