Nicenewsupdate.info redirect removal instructions
What is nicenewsupdate.info?
nicenewsupdate.info is a rogue website that is virtually identical to search.lokaleswetternt.com, getnewsupdate.info, search-www.info, etc. It is designed to redirect visitors to other untrustworthy sites. Most users do not arrive at nicenewsupdate.info intentionally - they are forced to visit it by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs). In most cases, users install PUAs inadvertently. In addition to redirects, these unwanted apps deliver intrusive advertisements and gather data.
Once installed, PUAs force browsers to continually open new tabs or windows and redirect users to nicenewsupdate.info, which then opens even more (about two or three) untrustworthy sites that might contain malicious content. Redirects to malicious websites can result in high-risk computer infections. Furthermore, most potentially unwanted applications deliver coupons, banners, surveys, pop-ups and other similar advertisements that are usually displayed using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site and conceal underlying content. This diminishes the overall browsing experience. Once clicked, they redirect users to other untrustworthy sites or execute scripts designed to download and install potentially unwanted applications. Furthermore, many PUAs collect IP addresses, geo-locations, keystrokes, URLs of visited websites, search queries and other similar data, and then use it to generate revenue by sharing it with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals). Installed PUAs commonly collect personal or sensitive information, often leading to privacy or browsing safety issues, or even worse - cyber criminals use the data to steal users' identities. You are strongly advised to eliminate installed PUAs immediately .

There are hundreds of potentially unwanted applications available on the Internet. Most are promoted as legitimate and useful, however, these claims are attempts to give the impression of legitimacy. PUAs simply generate revenue for their developers, rather than providing the features offered.
How did adware install on my computer?
Many potentially unwanted applications can be downloaded from their official websites, however, in most cases, these apps are downloaded and installed inadvertently. Typically, PUAs are installed through intrusive advertisements (described above) or when software developers use a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" - stealth installation of potentially unwanted applications with other regular software that users download from the Internet. Developers hide bundled applications in various sections such as "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar settings of the installation processes. Software developers do not disclose information about these installations properly. In most cases, users cause inadvertent installation of potentially unwanted applications and pose a direct threat to their privacy, by skipping installation steps without studying the settings and clicking ads.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
The key to computer safety is caution. You should download software (especially free software) from official/trustworthy sites and using only direct links. Avoid using third party downloaders or installers and torrents to download (or install) software. Do not skip software installation steps without checking all available "Advanced", "Custom", and other similar options. Opt-out of additional tools or features and only then finish the installation. If you encounter ads that redirect you to gambling, pornography, adult dating, and other untrustworthy websites, check for new extensions, plug-ins, add-ons, etc., installed on your browser and remove any suspicious/unknown entries immediately. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
