newsforyou.pro redirect removal instructions
What is newsforyou.pro?
newsforyou.pro is a rogue site identical to nsandreskethep.club, butfirecrangu.club, notify-service.com, and dozens of other deceptive websites. newsforyou.pro causes redirects to other rogue sites and also displays dubious content. Visitors typically arrive at newsforyou.pro inadvertently - they are redirected by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) or intrusive ads displayed on other rogue sites. PUAs typically infiltrate computers without users’ permission, deliver intrusive advertisements, and record user-system information relating to browsing activity.
Unwanted applications force-open new browser tabs/windows and redirect users to newsforyou.pro. Immediately after visiting this site, users encounter several additional redirects or dubious content - this depends on the user's geo-location. In either case, they might end up encountering malicious content displayed on another site. Therefore, redirects to and from newsforyou.pro can lead to system infections. Unwanted applications also deliver ads such as coupons, banners, pop-ups, and so on. These might redirect to malicious websites or even execute scripts that download/install malware (or other PUAs). Therefore, clicking them can also result in computer infections. Note that intrusive advertisements are delivered using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, most conceal underlying content, thereby significantly diminishing the browsing experience. Potentially unwanted applications are notorious for information tracking. These apps typically record IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information relating to browsing activity. Collected data usually includes personal details that developers share with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue. Therefore, data tracking can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. All potentially unwanted applications should be uninstalled immediately.
There are hundreds of potentially unwanted applications online, all of which are virtually identical. By offering "useful features", developers attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install (and they often succeed). Note, however, that few PUAs provide the functionality promised. Most cause unwanted redirects, deliver advertisements, and gather information. Their only purpose is to generate revenue for the developers.
How did adware install on my computer?
Some potentially unwanted applications have official download websites, however, most infiltrate computers without users' consent. Developers proliferate them using "bundling" and intrusive advertising methods. "Bundling" is essentially stealth installation of third party applications together with regular software. Developers hide "bundled" apps within "Custom/Advanced" settings or other sections of the download/installation processes. Furthermore, many users click advertisements and skip download/installation steps - behavior that often leads to inadvertent installation of third party software. In this way, they expose their systems to risk of various infections and compromise their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent this situation, be very cautious when browsing the internet and downloading/installing software. Carefully analyze each step of the download/installation processes and opt-out of all additionally-included programs. Download software from official sources only, using direct download links. Third party download/installation set-ups are often used to proliferate ("bundle") rogue apps, and thus you should avoid using them. Furthermore, bear in mind that intrusive advertisements typically seem legitimate but, once clicked, redirect to dubious websites (gambling, adult dating, pornography, etc.) If you encounter these ads/redirects, immediately remove all suspicious applications and browser plug-ins. The main reasons for computer infections are poor knowledge and careless behavior - the key to safety is caution. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Spyhunter for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
