How to remove apps that open amazing-dating.com and similar web pages
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is amazing-dating[.]com?
Websites such as amazing-dating[.]com are commonly promoted via potentially unwanted applications (PUAs), which most users download and install on their browsers and/or computers inadvertently. I.e., they do not visit these bogus pages intentionally.
More examples of similar websites designed for the same purpose are webquizspot[.]com, enhesita[.]online and dozki[.]pro.
When opened, web pages such as amazing-dating[.]com open about two or three other bogus web pages or display dubious content. This depends on the geolocations of their visitors.
Additionally, most websites of this type use 'clickbait' techniques to deceive visitors into clicking the "Allow" button, which then allows the visited page to show notifications - amazing-dating[.]com states that visitors must click the aforementioned button to watch a video. Typically, notifications displayed by these pages contain deceptive ads, links to other untrusted websites, etc. Therefore, neither amazing-dating[.]com or other dubious pages should be allowed to show notifications.
As well as promoting bogus web pages such as amazing-dating[.]com, PUAs generate ads (e.g., coupons, pop-ups, surveys, and banners). These can open other rogue dubious pages or even download and install unwanted applications by running certain scripts.
PUAs can also collect data, targeting browsing-related information such as addresses of visited pages, entered search queries, IP addresses, geolocations or even sensitive details. The data could be monetized by selling it to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) or in other ways.

Malware Removal (Windows) | To eliminate possible malware infections, scan your computer with legitimate antivirus software. Our security researchers recommend using Combo Cleaner. |
Avoid amazing-dating[.]com and web pages promoted by it. PUAs should never be downloaded or installed. Users who have these rogue apps installed on browsers and/or computers often encounter problems relating to online privacy, browsing safety, or they even become victims of identity theft.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs are distributed via download/installation set-ups of other products. This deceptive marketing tactic of packing regular software with unwanted or malicious additions is called "bundling".
Rushing download/installation processes (e.g. ignoring terms, skipping steps and settings, etc.) increases the risk of inadvertently allowing bundled content into the system.
Some PUAs have "official" download sites. Intrusive advertisements proliferate these applications as well. Once clicked, they can execute scripts to download/install PUAs without users' consent.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download software and files from official websites and via direct links. It is not safe to use torrent clients, eMule (or other Peer-to-Peer networks), third party downloaders, unofficial websites or other sources of this kind.
Avoid third party installers. Check "Advanced", "Custom" and other settings, and decline offers to download or install unwanted software. Do not click ads that are displayed on dubious websites, since they can open other untrusted websites or even cause unwanted downloads and installations.
Remove any unwanted, suspicious applications (extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins) that are installed on the browser. The same should be applied to programs of this kind that are installed on the operating system.
Regularly scan your computer with reputable antivirus or anti-spyware software and keep this software up to date.
If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
