"XRP Ledger Airdrop Scam" in detail
The legitimate XRP Ledger (xrpl.org) is an open-source blockchain designed for fast, low-cost financial transactions. It is the infrastructure underlying XRP, a digital asset widely used for cross-border payments and currency exchange.
Stack-deckcoin[.]com impersonates this platform using XRP branding and a bold claim that a "community reward is live." Visitors are told their personal allocation is 150 XRP, available to claim with a single action.
Clicking "Claim 150 XRP" opens a wallet connection dialog listing over 130 supported wallets. Options include Solflare, Phantom, Trust Wallet, Jupiter, MetaMask, Bitget Wallet, OKX Wallet, Base, and Backpack.
Once a wallet is connected, a cryptocurrency drainer activates automatically. This tool transfers the victim's funds to a wallet controlled by cybercriminals, with no XRP reward ever delivered in return.
Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Any cryptocurrency stolen this way is permanently lost once the transfer is confirmed on the network.
Users should always verify that a website is legitimate before connecting a wallet or sharing any account details. For genuine XRP Ledger services, visiting xrpl.org directly is the safest approach.
