MySearchDial virus removal instructions

What is MySearchDial?

The MySearchDial browser toolbar (compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) claims to enhance users' browsing experience by displaying quick access links to popular social networking websites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and improve the overall Internet search and browsing experience. While such functionality may seem legitimate and useful, many computer users refer to MySearchDial (My Search Dial) as a redirect virus or a browser hijacker. These associations are made since the MySearchDial toolbar is promoted via free software downloads using a software distribution (marketing) method called 'bundling'. The MySearchDial toolbar is installed on users' browsers during download or installation of legitimate free software using 'download clients' or 'installers'.

Mysearchdial browser redirect

Today, many popular download websites including download.com, soft32.com, and softonic.com use download clients to manage and monetize freeware download. When downloading free programs from these websites, Internet users are offered (sometimes in a deceptive manner) installation of additional programs such as toolbars, browser add-ons, etc. Installation of these promoted programs and browser extensions often results in privacy issues, or in the case of MySearchDial, unwanted browser redirects.

The MySearchDial toolbar is related to Montera technologies products. Previous unwanted browser toolbars developed by this company redirect Internet users to Mixidj.claro-search.com, Searchiu.com, Tuvaro.com, and other websites, which present users with deceptive ads and search engines returning misleading sponsored search results. The Start.mysearchdial.com website poses no direct virus or malware threats, however, visitors to this site are mostly redirected to it without their consent. If you feel that start.mysearchdial.com was set as your homepage, default search engine, and search provider within a new tab without your consent, use this removal guide to eliminate these issues.
