What is Temperature Scout?

Temperature Scout is a deceptive application developed by Web Rodeo Inc, which claims to provides users with the latest weather forecast information - "Get local temperatures, weather information and instant alerts right from your computer".

On initial inspection, this app may appear legitimate and useful, however, it is classed as a potentially unwanted adware-type program (PUP). After stealth infiltration, Temperature Scout generates intrusive online advertisements and tracks various information relating to Internet browsing activity.
