Clicksev.pro Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is clicksev.pro?
clicksev.pro is a deceptive site designed to cause redirects to other dubious websites. Note that clicksev.pro is identical to nametraff.com, formulawire.com, yourlink.online, and dozens of others.
Research shows that users often visit clicksev.pro inadvertently - they are redirected by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that infiltrate systems without permission. Research shows that, as well as causing redirects, PUPs deliver intrusive advertisements and continually record sensitive information.
Immediately after infiltration, potentially unwanted programs open new browser tabs/windows and redirect to clicksev.pro, which, in turn, redirects users to several other (typically 2 or 3) sites. There is a high probability that at least one of these sites will contain malicious content. Therefore, redirects caused by clicksev.pro might lead to high-risk computer infections.
Potentially unwanted programs are designed to generate intrusive advertisements. To achieve this, developers employ tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site. Therefore, pop-ups, banners, coupons, and other ads conceal underlying website content, thereby diminishing the browsing experience.
Furthermore, intrusive ads might also redirect to malicious sites - clicking them risks computer infections. Another significant downside is data tracking.
Potentially unwanted programs are known to record IP addresses, Internet service providers (ISPs), geographic locations, keystrokes, queries entered into search engines, URLs visited, and other similar information that typically contains personal details.
Be aware that PUP developers generate revenue by selling the collected data to third parties (potentially, cyber criminals). These criminals also misuse confidential data to generate revenue. Therefore, having information-tracking apps installed on your computer can lead to serious privacy issues. We strongly advise you to eliminate all potentially unwanted programs immediately.

There are hundreds of potentially unwanted programs, all of which are virtually identical. By offering various "useful features", PUPs attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install, however, these apps are designed only to generate revenue for the developers. They provide none of the functions promised.
Potentially unwanted programs pose a direct threat to your privacy and Internet browsing safety.
How did adware install on my computer?
Some PUPs have official download websites, however, as mentioned above, most infiltrate systems without users' consent. This is due to the careless behavior and lack of knowledge of many users. Research shows that intrusive ads are delivered using a deceptive marketing method called "bundling" and intrusive advertisements.
"Bundling" is stealth installation of unwanted apps with regular software/apps. Developers do not adequately disclose installation of "bundled" programs - they conceal them within various sections (usually "Advanced/Custom" settings) of the download/installation processes.
Many users skip download/installation steps and click ads. In doing so, they expose their systems to risk of various infections.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent this situation, be very careful when browsing the Internet and especially when downloading/installing software. Research shows that criminals invest a great deal of time and money into intrusive ad design, thereby making them appear legitimate.
In fact, they are easy to distinguish, since most lead to gambling, adult dating, pornography, and other dubious sites. If you encounter intrusive ads, immediately remove all suspicious applications/browser plug-ins and scan the system with a legitimate anti-virus/anti-spyware suite.
Remember also to observe each step of the download/installation processes and cancel all additionally-included programs. Note that criminals monetize third party downloaders/installers using the "bundling" method. Therefore, these tools should not be used. The key to computer safety is caution.
