Fulltraffic.net POP-UP Redirect
Written by Tomas Meskauskas on (updated)
What is fulltraffic.net?
fulltraffic.net is a rogue site very similar to others such as onclickbright.com, performingtraffic.com, obeyter.com, and many more.
Once you visit this site, it redirects to other untrustworthy/unwanted (or even potentially malicious) websites, however, in most cases users visit fulltraffic.net inadvertently - they are redirected to it by potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) installed on their computers, or by intrusive ads on other rogue sites (similar to fulltraffic.net).
Potentially unwanted programs often infiltrate systems without users' permission, and once installed, collect information about them and deliver various intrusive ads.
Installed PUPs open new browser tabs, browser windows, and rogue sites (in this case, the fulltraffic.net website). Once opened, fulltraffic.net starts redirecting users to other (usually 2-3) dubious websites. There are many cases whereby visited websites contain malicious content.
Intrusive ads can often be seen on rogue sites such as fulltraffic.net and, if clicked, redirect to various other untrustworthy/unwanted websites (that might also contain malicious content or stealthily execute scripts that download/install malware). These ads and dubious sites redirect to other dubious websites.
Clicked intrusive ads can lead to high-risk computer infections. Furthermore, intrusive ads (or other types of ads caused by PUPs) are delivered using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any visited website. Therefore, they often conceal underlying content, diminishing the browsing experience. Potentially unwanted programs also collect data.
They track users and collect information such as IP addresses, visited websites, keystrokes, viewed pages, search queries, and so on. Collected information is shared with third parties (potentially cyber criminals) and often misused to generate revenue for PUP developers.
Potentially unwanted programs and intrusive ads, or redirects caused by them, can lead to serious problems such as privacy issues or even identity theft. We strongly advise you to remove any potentially unwanted programs immediately.

There are many potentially unwanted programs available on the Internet, and all are virtually identical or very similar. Most offer 'useful tools' or 'features' and claim to be legitimate.
In fact, they do not generally deliver any real value for regular users and are designed only to generate revenue for the developers by gathering information, causing unwanted redirects, and displaying intrusive ads.
How did adware install on my computer?
Some potentially unwanted programs can be downloaded from their official websites, however, commonly they are installed without permission. Two common ways to install PUPs are using the "bundling" method and intrusive ads. Bundling is essentially stealth installation of third party programs with regular software/apps.
Developers hide these programs in "Custom", "Advanced" options (and other similar sections) of the installation processes. Due to the lack of knowledge and careless behaviour, many users skip installation steps and thereby install PUPs. Furthermore, developers do not disclose "bundled" PUP installations properly.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Avoid intrusive. It is sometimes difficult to determine if an ad is intrusive, since developers invest many resources to make them appear legitimate.
If you happen to click one and are redirected to gambling, pornography, adult daring, or other similar websites, immediately check the list of installed applications/browser plug-ins, add-ons, or extensions and remove any suspicious entries.
Install software with caution and do not skip the installation steps - check all available "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar options/settings.
Opt-out of unwanted offers/offered software or other supposedly useful tools. Use direct links and official sources to download software. Avoid using third party software downloaders/installers. If your computer is already infected with fulltraffic.net, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this adware.
