What is am15.net?
Am15.net is one of many rogue websites available (including redonetype.com, ylx-4.com, popcornvod.com, etc.) that redirect visitors to other untrustworthy and potentially malicious sites.
Most visitors arrive at am15.net unintentionally - they are forced to visit it by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) that are installed without users' permission, or they are redirected inadvertently. Most PUAs share similarities: they cause unwanted redirects, deliver intrusive ads, and collect information.
Following infiltration, PUAs force browsers to open new tabs/windows and redirect users to am15.net. This site also causes redirects. Once visited, it triggers additional (about 2-3) redirects to other untrustworthy websites that might be malicious and cause high-risk computer infections.
Furthermore, PUAs diminish the browsing experience by delivering ads (coupons, banners, pop-ups, surveys, etc.) that are displayed via tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site and conceal underlying content.

Potentially unwanted applications supposedly provide 'useful features' or tools, however, most are designed only to generate revenue by collecting and sharing/selling data, causing unwanted redirects, and delivering intrusive (and potentially malicious) advertisements.

Users can download potentially unwanted applications from official websites, however, they are usually installed unintentionally - through intrusive ads or together with regular (typically free) software. "Bundling" is stealth installation of PUAs, typically performed by hiding rogue applications in "Advanced", "Custom" and other similar settings/options of the installation processes. Information about the presence of bundled PUAs is not properly disclosed.
Furthermore, most users skip installation steps without studying the aforementioned settings/options or click intrusive ads. In doing so, they inadvertently install PUAs.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
To prevent these installations, download software (especially free software) from official and trustworthy sources/websites. Avoid using third party software downloaders, or installers and torrents. Check "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar settings and opt-out of unwanted additional offers.
Only then finish the installation. Be careful when browsing the web, especially when clicking intrusive advertisements. Even if these ads appear legitimate (developers - potentially cyber criminals - invest time and money in their design), they often redirect users to untrustworthy websites (such as gambling, adult dating, pornography, and so on).

Optional method:
