Uninstall Adroit System Care from your computer

Also Known As: Adroit System Care potentially unwanted application
Damage level: Medium

What is Adroit System Care?

Adroit System Care is software that supposedly cleans, optimizes and improves the performance of Windows computers, and also fixes errors and provides other features. In fact, Adroit System Care is distributed by 'bundling' it into the set-ups of other software.

People often download and install bundled programs unintentionally and, therefore, Adroit System Care is classified as a potentially unwanted application (PUA).

Adroit System Care unwanted application

This program allows users to scan their systems for various issues, errors, and so on, however, Adroit System Care does not allow them to fix any of the 'detected issues' unless it is activated (purchased). People can only scan their systems for the problems free of charge.

Note, you are advised NOT to trust programs that are distributed by bundling them into download/installation set-ups. In many cases, software of this type falsifies results (detected issues). The main goal is to trick people into believing that there are many problems with their systems so that they purchase a particular program that will supposedly fix them.

It is possible that Adroit System Care is one of these rogue programs, and we thus recommend that you do NOT pay for activation. Furthermore, developers often use set-ups to bundle more than one potentially unwanted app. Therefore, Adroit System Care might be bundled with other adware, browser hijackers, or  PUAs.

Adware is software that displays advertisements. The ads are usually various pop-ups, surveys, banners, coupons, and so on. Users who click them end up visiting dubious web pages or cause download/installation of other, potentially malicious applications. If installed, browser hijackers promote fake search engines by changing browser settings.

Additionally, apps of this type operate as information tracking tools - they gather browsing data such as users' geolocations, URLs of visited sites, entered search queries, IP addresses, and so on. In some cases, PUAs also record personal details. Developers send the information to other people (potentially, cyber criminals) who misuse it to generate revenue.

Adroit System Care shares similarities with many other PUAs of this type such as Inlog Optimizer, Xtron System Care, and One Click Speedup. Most are presented as 'useful tools' that fix errors, optimize systems, remove viruses, and so on. Do not to trust this software or pay for it, since it might provide fake results and deliver no real value.

How did potentially unwanted applications install on my computer?

These PUAs often have supposedly 'official websites' from which they can be downloaded free of charge, however, users generally download and install them by clicking dubious ads or when software developers use "bundling", a deceptive marketing method employed to trick people into unintentional downloads/installations.

To achieve this, they do not properly disclose information about the inclusion of bundled apps. They hide the details in "Custom", "Advanced" settings of the download or installation set-ups.

Furthermore, many users download and install programs without checking the details available in the set-ups, thereby allowing PUAs to be downloaded and installed together with regular programs.

How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?

Do not download software from untrustworthy websites, through third party software downloaders, torrent clients, eMule (other Peer-to-Peer networks) or similar channels. Use only official, trustworthy websites and direct links. Never skip the installation steps without checking all available "Custom", "Advanced" and other similar options.

Opt-out of suggestions to download/install unwanted apps and only then finish the download or installation process. Avoid clicking intrusive ads, especially those displayed on sites related gambling, adult dating, pornography, and so on. They usually open other untrustworthy websites or cause unwanted downloads and installations.

If a browser shows unwanted ads or causes redirects to untrustworthy web pages, it might be hijacked by a PUA. Check the list of installed extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins, and remove unwanted, suspicious entries immediately. Also uninstall all unwanted programs from the operating system.

If your computer is already infected with PUAs, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.
