What is 24x7 Help?

24x7 Help is an application developed by Crawler LLC. This program interactively alerts computer users regarding potential computer issues and provides access to support services. Note that while this program may seem legitimate and potentially useful, many PC users refer to 24x7 Help as malware, a virus, or spyware.

These negative associations are made since many Internet users feel that they did not willingly install this program, and yet it appeared in their tray icon regardless. This program is not strictly considered a computer virus or malware, however, it adds little functionality and is categorised as adware or a potentially unwanted application (PUA).

24x7 Help is promoted using deceptive online ads (which display fake computer errors or indicate that computer performance is slow), or via a deceptive software distribution method called 'bundling'. To avoid installation of this or any other PUA, ensure that you are attentive when downloading free software.

When dealing with freeware, choose the advanced or custom installation options and opt-out of installation of any additional programs, add-ons, toolbars, etc.

24x7 Help removal:

Windows 11 users:

Right-click on the Start icon, select Apps and Features. In the opened window search for the application you want to uninstall, after locating it, click on the three vertical dots and select Uninstall.

Windows 10 users:

Right-click in the lower left corner of the screen, in the Quick Access Menu select Control Panel. In the opened window choose Programs and Features.

Windows 7 users:

Click Start (Windows Logo at the bottom left corner of your desktop), choose Control Panel. Locate Programs and click Uninstall a program.

macOS (OSX) users:

Click Finder, in the opened screen select Applications. Drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash (located in your Dock), then right click the Trash icon and select Empty Trash.

In the uninstall programs window, look for "24x7 Help", select this entry and click "Uninstall" or "Remove".
