Sharp Savings removal instructions
What is Sharp Savings?
Sharp Savings is a potentially unwanted browser plug-in developed by Engaging Apps (also known as Innovative Apps, Alluring Apps, or 215 Apps). This browser extension displays coupon and deal ads when Internet users visit online shopping websites such as Walmart, eBay, Amazon, etc. This browser add-on installs on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. Whilst the idea of saving money when shopping online may seem legitimate, many computer users refer to Sharp Savings as a virus or malware. These negative associations are made since this browser add-on is promoted using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling'. Most Internet users install this browser add-on without their consent together with free software downloaded from the Internet.
Today, many popular free software download websites employ 'download clients', which offer installation of browser add-ons together with free software selected for download. Some download clients are deceptive and do not prominently display the 'decline' button, which otherwise enables you to opt-out of installation of potentially unwanted applications on your Internet browser/s. Sharp Savings is not technically a virus or malware, however, it is categorized as adware or a potentially unwanted application. This browser extension causes diminished Internet browser performance and may lead to serious privacy issues. Therefore, you are advised to remove Sharp Savings from your computer.
Following successful installation, Sharp Savings adware generates various intrusive online advertisements including, for example, sponsored links, banner ads, "pop-unders", ads that pop up when a web page is loaded or are displayed between the contents of a web page, coupons, and video targeted ads. Clicking these ads may lead to serious malware infections. The best way to avoid installation of Sharp Savings and similar adware is to closely inspect each download and installation step of free software downloaded from the Internet. If the process of freeware downloading is managed by a download client, look for the 'decline' button - this will allow you to skip installation of any unwanted programs. Additionally, when installing free software, choose the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Typical' or 'Quick'. This will allow you to opt-out of installation of any potentially unwanted browser add-ons. Sharp Savings is similar to other adware developed by Engaging Apps, including Savings Wave, Savings Scout , Barnyard Deals, amongst many others. To eliminate this browser extension from your Internet browser/s, use the removal instructions provided.
