Eppink removal instructions
What is Eppink?
Eppink, a bogus application owned by ClickMeIn Limited, uses a deceptive free software marketing method called 'bundling' to install on Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox) without users' consent. Following successful browser infiltration, Eppink generates intrusive online advertisements (such as banner, pop-up ads, etc.) that commonly lead to dubious websites containing potentially unwanted content. Bundling allows developers to stealthily distribute their applications together with other software, and therefore, systems are often infected during download of free software from freeware download websites.
Today, most popular freeware download websites employ small programs called 'download managers' (also called 'installers', 'download managers', and so on) as convenient tools for monetization of traffic and free services. Download managers offer installation of additional applications or browser extensions together with the chosen software. According to the developers, these promoted applications are 'completely legitimate and virus-free', however, reckless download and installation of freeware often results in adware or malware infections. The presence of Eppink on your system may lead to high-risk adware or malware infections and even cause privacy issues. You are strongly advised to eliminate Eppink from your system.
Despite claims made by Eppink, this bogus application provides no useful features. GrabRez, CouponSignal, Com Notification, and other applications similar to Eppink, are developed to generate revenue by the display of intrusive online advertisements and sharing collected personal data with third parties. Installation of Eppink (and other adware) can be prevented by following each step of the freeware download procedure and ensuring that no additional software is included. Furthermore, installation of downloaded programs should be performed using the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' installation options, rather than 'Quick' or 'Typical' - this will reveal any concealed applications listed for installation and allow you to opt-out. If you have installed Eppink, read the following guide and eliminate this potentially unwanted program (PUP) from your system.
