Enter Voyage removal instructions
What is Enter Voyage?
Enter Voyage is a deceptive application developed by SuperWeb LLC. According to the developers, it significantly improves the Internet browsing experience by delivering coupons, displaying best deals/discounts available on shopping websites, enabling comparison shopping, and other similar features - "We're passionate about improving web by providing the best tools to enhance the browsing experience, from searching the web to comparing online deals to find the best prices. We've combined all of our great ideas into the Enter Voyage product suite, a FREE set of tools that work to make your browsing experience... better!" On initial inspection, Enter Voyage may seem legitimate and useful, however, it is categorized as a potentially unwanted adware-type program. The reason for these negative associations is Enter Voyage's behavior, which includes stealth installation, tracking of Internet browsing activity, and display of intrusive online ads.
Enter Voyage continually monitors Internet browsing activity and collects various software and hardware information (for example, IP addresses, unique identifier numbers, website URLs visited, search queries, etc.) Be aware that some of this information might include personally identifiable details. SuperWeb LLC later shares this collected information with third parties who often misuse private details to generate revenue. Thus, having an information-tracking app installed can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Furthermore, Enter Voyage generates intrusive online advertisements using a 'virtual layer', which enables placement of third party graphical content on any site. The types of generated ads include interstitial, transitional, full-page, banner, coupon, pop-up, and search ads. None originate from the visited web pages and conceal underlying content, thereby diminishing the Internet browsing experience. Furthermore, some redirect users to bogus sites containing infectious content. Thus, clicking them is risky and can lead to further computer infections. For these reasons, we strongly advise that you uninstall Enter Voyage immediately.
SuperWeb LLC has released several hundred potentially unwanted programs identical to Enter Voyage. Loot Find, Oasis Space, and Astro Find are just some examples from many. All adware developed by this company offers identical features, and yet, none provide any real value for users. SuperWeb LLC aims to generate as much revenue as possible, and therefore, they release identical apps under different names to prevent detection by legitimate anti-spyware and anti-virus suites. Rather than providing the functionality promised, apps such as Enter Voyage generate intrusive advertisements and collect personally identifiable information.
How did Enter Voyage install on my computer?
This PUP is mostly distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' - stealth installation of potentially unwanted programs with the chosen software/apps. Developers hide apps such as Enter Voyage within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings, since they are aware that many users skip this section. By rushing the download and installation processes, users often inadvertently install bogus applications, thereby exposing their systems to risk of infection and compromising their privacy.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
This situation can be prevented by taking two simple steps. Firstly, pay close attention when downloading and installing software - select the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings and carefully analyze each step. Secondly, decline all offers to download/install third party apps and opt-out of any already included - bundled software is mostly rogue.
