Sale Planet removal instructions
What is Sale Planet?
Sale Planet is adware that falsely claims to improve the web browsing experience - "We're passionate about improving web by providing the best tools to enhance the browsing experience, from searching the web to comparing online deals to find the best prices. We've combined all of our great ideas into the Sale Planet product suite, a FREE set of tools that work to make your browsing experience... better!" This often tricks users to install, and although Sale Planet may seem legitimate, it is classed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Note that this bogus extension often infiltrates systems without users' permission, generates intrusive online advertisements, and collects personally identifiable information.
This adware generates pop-up, banner, interstitial, transitional, full-page, search, price comparison, coupon, and other similar intrusive advertisement types. None originate from users' visited websites and conceal underlying content, thereby diminishing the web browsing experience. Another downside of these displayed ads is redirects to malicious sites containing infectious content - clicking them risks further adware or malware infections. Furthermore, Sale Planet continually gathers various Internet browsing-related information such as search queries entered into search engines, URLs visited, pages viewed, unique identifier numbers, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (to determine geographic location), and so on. Many users believe this information to be insignificant, however, it might contain personally identifiable details that developers of Sale Planet (SuperWeb LLC) share with third parties. Therefore, having an information-tracking app such as Sale Planet installed on your computer can lead to serious privacy issues or even identity theft. For these reasons, you are strongly advised to uninstall Sale Planet adware immediately.
SuperWeb LLC has released many potentially unwanted programs identical to Sale Planet including, for example, Web Amplified, Nicer Together, and Cash Kitten. All have identical behavior - they falsely claim to enhance the web browsing experience to trick users to install. In fact, none provide the functionality promised. Sale Planet, and other identical apps, are designed only to generate revenue for the developers. Rather than providing any value for users, Sale Planet, and other apps developed by this company, continually track web browsing activity and generate intrusive online advertisements.
How did Sale Planet install on my computer?
Sale Planet has an official download website, however, it is distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' and, thus, many users install this application inadvertently since they do not express enough caution when downloading and installing software. Aware of this, developers intentionally conceal bundled software within the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings of these procedures. By skipping this section, users often expose their systems to risk of various infections.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are two main steps you should take to prevent this situation. Firstly, never rush when downloading and installing software - closely analyze these procedures using the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' settings. Secondly, opt-out of all additionally-included programs listed for download/installation.
