FiziPop removal instructions
What is FiziPop?
According to the developers, FiziPop allows users to play various addictive Flash games. This functionality may seem legitimate, however, FiziPop often infiltrates systems without users’ consent, gathers information relating to users' web browsing activity, and generates intrusive online advertisements. For these reasons, it is classed as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
Following infiltration, FiziPop delivers intrusive online advertisements using a ‘virtual layer’. Banner, pop-up, and other generated ads therefore conceal underlying content of websites visited by the user. This significantly diminishes the web browsing experience. Furthermore, the ads might lead to sites containing malicious content - clicking them is risky and can lead to further computer infections. Furthermore, FiziPop records URLs visited, search queries entered into search engines, pages viewed, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, websites viewed, etc. This collected data is shared with third parties who commonly misuse private data to generate revenue. This can result in serious privacy issues or even identity theft. Therefore, you should uninstall FiziPop adware immediately.
This PUP is similar to ArcadeIsle, ArcadeRoyal, and many other adware-type apps. Be aware that all claim to enhance the web browsing experience by providing certain 'useful functionality', however, these claims are simply attempts to give the impression of legitimate software. In fact, adware-type apps are designed only to generate revenue for the developers - they are mostly useless for regular users. These applications simply generate intrusive online advertisements and continually monitor users' web browsing activity.
How did FiziPop install on my computer?
FiziPop has an official download website, however, it is also distributed using a deceptive software marketing method called 'bundling' (stealth installation of PUPs with regular software). Therefore, many users often install this application inadvertently by skipping most/all download/installation steps. Aware of this, developers intentionally conceal PUPs such as FiziPop within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings. By skipping this section, users expose their systems to risk of various infections and put their privacy at risk.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
There are two main steps you should take to prevent system infiltration by FiziPop. Firstly, never rush when downloading and installing software - closely analyze each step within the 'Custom/Advanced' settings. Secondly, decline all offers to download or install additional applications and opt-out of those already included. Bundled software is mostly rogue and, thus, should never be installed.
