What kind of application is Easy-Search?
After installing the Easy-Search application, we have noticed that it has changed the web browser's settings (and did not allow to modify them) to easysearch.club - a search engine that shows results generated by Bing (bing.com). Thus, it can be stated with certainty that Easy-Search is a browser hijacker promoting a fake search engine.

Browser hijackers in general
Some browser hijackers (and fake search engines) can read browsing-related and (or) personal information. Either way, neither browser hijackers nor fake search engines are trustworthy. More examples of browser-hijacking apps are GetSportSearch, Fantasy-Sports, DisableNotifications.
How did Easy-Search install on my computer?
Usually, browsers get hijacked after clicking on deceptive ads or installations of programs bundled with these apps. In the second case, browser hijackers take over browsers when users install programs without changing settings (such as "Custom", "Advanced", "Manual", etc.) available in their installers.
We have also noticed browser hijackers being promoted on deceptive websites and distributed through fake installers. Either way, apps of this type usually are promoted/distributed using deceptive methods.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
Download applications and files from legitimate/official websites. Do not use other sources (such as P2P networks, third-party downloaders, shady pages, etc.) for that. Also, do not click on advertisements appearing on shady pages (e.g., torrent sites, adult dating pages).
One more way to avoid having a browser hijacked by an unwanted app is to deselect optional downloads/installations before downloading/installing programs. If your computer is already infected with Easy-Search, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate this browser hijacker.
