What is datsadstrack[.]com?
datsadstrack[.]com is yet another rogue site designed to feed visitors with dubious content and redirect them to other rogue sites. It is virtually identical to routgpushs.com, robotcaptcha3.info, pushmehoney.com, and many others.
Most visitors arrive at datsadstrack[.]com unintentionally - they are redirected by potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) or intrusive advertisements encountered on other rogue sites. PUAs infiltrate computers without users’ permission, cause redirects, deliver intrusive ads, and record user-system information.
PUAs force-open new browser tabs/windows and redirect users to datsadstrack[.]com. The behavior of this site depends on the visitor's geolocation, which is determined by checking the Internet Protocol (IP) address - it redirects them to other dubious sites or feeds them with dubious content (or both).
This site also uses various techniques/messages to trick users into clicking the delivered content, or enabling web browser notifications (e.g., "click here to display", "verify that you are a human", etc.). The content delivered by datsadstrack[.]com and the sites to which it redirects might be malicious.
Thus, redirects to and from this site could lead to various system infections. Browser notifications are also used to promote rogue sites by delivering pop-up messages. PUAs deliver intrusive advertisements (coupons, banners, pop-ups, and similar). These usually redirect to dubious websites and/or execute scripts that download/install unwanted apps.
Therefore, clicking them might also result in system infections. Additionally, they often conceal underlying website content, thereby diminishing the browsing experience, since PUAs deliver ads using tools that enable placement of third party graphical content on any site.
Note that PUAs can record IP addresses, website URLs visited, pages viewed, search queries, and other similar information relating to browsing activity.
This information can include personal details that developers share with third parties (potentially, cyber criminals) who generate revenue by misusing private data. Thus, the presence of data-tracking applications might lead to serious privacy issues, including identity theft. All potentially unwanted applications should be uninstalled immediately.

There are thousands of PUAs online, all of which are virtually identical. By offering many useful features, they attempt to give the impression of legitimacy and trick users to install.
In fact, PUAs have just one purpose: to generate revenue for the developers. They cause redirects and gather private data, thereby significantly diminishing the browsing experience and posing a threat to your privacy/computer safety.
How did adware install on my computer?
PUAs commonly infiltrate computers without users’ permission, since developers proliferate them using intrusive advertising and "bundling" methods. "Bundling" is essentially stealth installation of third party applications together with regular software. Developers know that many users rush download/installation processes and skip steps.
Therefore, they conceal "bundled" apps within "Custom/Advanced" settings (or other sections) of these procedures. Furthermore, many users skip download/installation steps and click various advertisements, which often leads to inadvertent installation of rogue applications.
The main reasons for computer infections are poor knowledge of these threats and careless behavior.
How to avoid installation of potentially unwanted applications?
The key to computer safety is caution. Therefore, pay close attention when browsing the Internet and downloading/installing software. Be aware that intrusive advertisements usually seem legitimate, however, they can redirect to dubious websites such as gambling, adult dating, and pornography - the list goes on.
If you encounter these ads/redirects regularly, remove all suspicious applications/browser plug-ins immediately. Furthermore, carefully study each window of the download/installation processes using the "Custom" or "Advanced" settings. Opt-out of additionally-included programs and decline offers to download/install them.
Avoid using third party downloaders/installers, since developers often monetize them using the "bundling" method (promoting PUAs).
Software should be downloaded from official sources only, preferably using direct download links. If your computer is already infected with rogue applications, we recommend running a scan with Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows to automatically eliminate them.

How to avoid browser notification spam?
Internet users should be very skeptical when being asked to allow notifications. While this is a useful feature that allows you to receive timely news from websites you like, deceptive marketers frequently abuse it.
Only allow notifications from websites that you fully trust. For added security - use an anti-malware application with a real-time web browsing monitor to block shady websites that tries to trick you into allowing spam notifications. We recommend using Combo Cleaner Antivirus for Windows.
