What is GetLucky?

GetLucky is a deceptive application claiming to save time and money by generating coupons, displaying special deals/discounts available on various online stores, enabling price comparison, and other similar features - "GetLucky will find coupon codes and automatically apply them to your order. GetLucky does the work. You get the savings." 

Many users believe that this application is legitimate and useful, however, GetLucky generates intrusive online advertisements and collects various Internet browsing-related data and is categorized as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Note that this application often infiltrates systems without users’ permission.

GetLucky employs a 'virtual layer' to generate pop-up, coupon, banner, and other similar intrusive ads. The virtual layer enables placement of third party content on any site, and therefore, none of these generated ads originate from your visited websites. Windows 11 users:

Right-click on the Start icon, select Apps and Features. In the opened window search for the application you want to uninstall, after locating it, click on the three vertical dots and select Uninstall.

Windows 10 users:

Optional method:
