Su Licencia ha Caducado

Also Known As: SMS Verification Virus
Damage level: High

What is Su Licencia ha Caducado?

This message blocks computer users' desktops, stating that the Windows license has expired. This is a scam created by cyber criminals, a ransomware infection targeting PC users from Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.

This fake message reports that the user's Windows license has expired and demands verification using a supposedly free SMS message.

Note that Microsoft Windows impose no license expiration constraints - this ransomware infection is merely an attempt to trick unsuspecting PC users into sending an SMS message. Cyber criminals responsible for creating this scam earn revenue by charging very high rates for SMS messages.

Su licencia ha coducado SMS scam

Tricking computer users into sending SMS messages is relatively uncommon when dealing with ransomware infections, and in most cases, this type of scam requests payment of bogus fines using pre-paid cards such as MoneyPak and Ukash. Examples of these are the Department of Justice virus or FBI Cyber Division scam.

If you observe a message on your screen claiming that your Windows license has expired and you are required to send an SMS message for verification, you are dealing with a ransomware infection. Do not send any messages - the correct way to deal with this message is to remove it from your PC.

The "Su licencia ha caducado" message is a scam, which installs on users' systems using Trojans and drive-by downloads. This message is not sent by Microsoft - the scam is developed by cyber criminals. Sending an SMS message when requested could result in receiving heavy charges to your mobile phone account.

To protect your computer from these ransomware infections, always use legitimate antivirus and anti-spyware software. If your computer screen is already locked by this message, use the removal guide provided to eliminate this scam.
